3.1 Now LIVE!
Beyond being a major content patch, quite a few fundamental changes were made to the game; including dual-spec, further class tweaks -- some, as is the case with Hunters, have recieved significant retooling -- and enough new achievements to keep the salivating nerds in all of us busy, and happy, for months to come. 3.1 also brings with it the promise of more difficult, challenging and dynamic boss encounters, and I sincerely hope that is true. read more...
Steelseries Mouse finally arrives!
The SteelSeries World of Warcraft mouse is finally available. While I'm more than happy with the Logitech G9 and Razer DeathAdder for my PC and Mac (respectively), I have no doubts I'll be picking up one of these to review sometime in the very near future. 3.0.9 Now Live!
Hunters were given a (deserving) kick in the pants. More Paladin changes in the form of 30 minute seals. Although I'm not sure I agree with the latter; it's more convenient for a raiding environment, sure, but it also reduces the viability of "stance-dancing," and makes the class even more accessible -- a mistake in my eyes, as there are already an over-abundance of Paladins -- which are fast becoming the "hunter" of the tanking classes. read more...
Resonance clears Heroic Eye of Eternity
Congratulations to everyone involved in defeating Malygos and successfully completing the current string of Wrath of the Lich King content. We've successfully cleared every raid event, and are now moving towards completing some of the more difficult Heroic achievements -- including the Twilight Zone achievement, which is likely the most difficult encounter currently in the game.
3.0.8 Now Live!
The much anticipated, much delayed patch 3.0.8 is now live. Some noteable changes came down the pipe, including some welcomed class tweaks; the oft requested single-target Paladin taunt - Hand of Reckoning - was finally added. New items, gameplay tweaks, and more attempts by Blizzard to make the pre-raiding grind more tolerable and appealing for newer players were also included, but still no fix for the horrendous server lag... read more...
New World of Warcraft Milestones
Since the launch of Wrath of the Lich King last month, millions of players around the world have stormed the shores of Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord. In fact, more than 4 million copies of the new expansion were sold in the first month of release --a new record for PC-game sales.
